Can cigarettes cause vomiting?

Sometimes after smoking, especially on an empty stomach, I feel a bit nauseous. My friend also said she sometimes vomits after smoking. Is it possible for cigarettes to cause vomiting?

Yes, especially if you smoke on an empty stomach it can irritate your lining and cause nausea or vomiting. Since I have thyroid issues, my doctor told me how smoking affects overall digestion and metabolism. Please get routine tests and check with your doc.

My college-going son started vomiting frequently and we later found out it was due to heavy smoking and acidity. Nicotine relaxes the food pipe valve causing severe acid reflux. Please take care, eat light home-cooked meals, and try to stop this habit.

I go to Apollo Hospital for my family's health and they always warn against smoking. Nicotine poisoning or heavy acid reflux from cigarettes can easily trigger vomiting. Do not ignore this and consult a proper general physician.

Of course it can, the chemicals destroy your gut health. If you are vomiting after smoking, your body is literally rejecting the toxins. Drop the cigarettes, fix your diet, and see a doctor if it doesn't stop.

I used to feel extremely nauseous and vomit sometimes after my morning cigarette. I am not a doctor, but for me, it was because of extreme acidity triggered by nicotine. Once I cut down, the vomiting stopped.

Haan na, cigarettes make the stomach very acidic and cause vomiting sensations. Merely drinking water doesn't help when the habit itself is bad ho na. Please take care of your stomach.
