Can cetirizine be used for vomiting?

My child has allergies and sometimes gets very nauseous, especially when she has a bad cough. We usually give her cetirizine for the allergies. Can this medicine also help with vomiting, or is it only for allergy symptoms?

Honestly, when I was feeling so nauseous and constantly vomiting last year, I was crying from exhaustion and almost took random meds like cetirizine just to sleep. But trust me, it doesn't help with vomiting at all. Please don't put your body through that extra stress when you're already feeling so weak.

No point wasting money on cetirizine for this, it is an allergy medicine and won't stop vomiting. If the vomiting is severe, better to spend 500-600 rupees on a proper doctor consultation first. Buying wrong OTC tablets only adds up the medical bills and delays actual recovery.

Arre nahi bilkul nahi! Cetirizine is strictly for cold, sneezing, and allergies, okay? It has nothing to do with stomach upset or vomiting. Don't take random tablets blindly, consult a doc or at least ask a local pharmacist for the right anti-vomiting medicine.

Bro, cetirizine is for running nose and dust allergy, not for vomiting. I once took it by mistake when my stomach was upset and it did absolutely nothing except make me super sleepy. Stick to ORS and ask a doc for actual vomit meds.

Beta, in my sixty years I have seen people mix up medicines a lot, but cetirizine will not control vomiting. It is meant for allergies and cold. For vomiting, drink some light ginger water or lemon juice, and if it continues, go see your family doctor.

Actually cetirizine won't work for vomiting, man. I had food poisoning last month and thought about taking it, but my pharmacist friend told me it's only for allergies. Just take some ORS to stay hydrated and see a doctor if you can't keep liquids down.

Cetirizine won't help with vomiting, as it's an antihistamine for allergies. Please be careful because continuous vomiting can badly affect your hydration, especially if you have other health conditions like diabetes. Better to consult a doctor immediately for safe, sugar-free rehydration options.
