Can cedar fever cause a fever?

My cousin who lives abroad was telling me about 'cedar fever' and how it makes him feel really sick. It sounds like a bad allergy, but the name makes me wonder. Does this 'cedar fever' actually involve a high temperature, like a proper fever?

Even though it is called cedar fever, it is actually just an allergic reaction to pollen and doesn't usually cause a real high fever. But when my son got it, he had a slight warm feeling due to the heavy congestion. Keep a thermometer handy and give them warm water to soothe the throat.

Hey, don't worry. Cedar fever is mostly just a strong allergy and usually doesn't give you a proper high temperature, even though the name says 'fever'. But if your body is feeling hot, it's best to rest, monitor it, and check in with a doctor if the temperature goes up.

The name is misleading, honestly. It's an allergic reaction to pollen, so you might get a runny nose and itchy eyes, but a true high fever usually points to an actual infection. If your temperature is high, stop guessing and go see a doctor.

My mother always says to take steam and drink warm turmeric milk for any seasonal allergies. But if you are actually running a high fever, it might not just be the pollen allergy. Please consult a general physician to be absolutely safe.

Don't just assume it's a simple allergy and sit at home. I once ignored a rising temperature thinking it was just seasonal allergies, and it turned into a severe sinus infection that took weeks to clear. If you actually have a high fever, please get a proper medical checkup.

When my nose is blocked from these allergies, I lose all my sense of taste and can't even enjoy my hot parathas! Usually, it shouldn't cause a real fever, but if you are feeling genuinely hot and sick, skip the heavy food, take some rest, and get it checked by a doc.
