Can cavities heal on their own?

My mother-in-law keeps saying that if you gargle with salt water and use certain pastes, small cavities can heal. I have a tiny one starting, so I wanted to ask, can cavities heal on their own?

If teeth could heal themselves, dentists would be out of a job and my bank account would be much happier! Sadly, once a cavity sets up camp in your tooth, it's there to stay until a doc evicts it. Don't worry, a quick filling is much easier than it sounds.

While regular physical activity and a balanced diet keep your body and immune system strong, they won't reverse tooth decay. Cavities can't heal on their own once the enamel is damaged. Keep up your fitness routine, but definitely make time for a quick dental visit.

According to the detailed explanation my dentist gave me, early enamel demineralization (which looks like chalky white spots) can sometimes be halted with fluoride treatments. However, once the decay penetrates the dentin layer, a physical cavity is formed and it cannot heal on its own. A filling is definitely required.

I completely understand the anxiety of realizing you might have a cavity and hoping it just goes away. I used to lose sleep over dental visits. But postponing it only makes the fear bigger. A quick, painless checkup really is the best way to handle it.

Let's be practical: teeth don't have blood supply like skin to heal themselves. If there is a cavity, it needs a filling. Just visit a local dental clinic nearby, get a simple composite filling, and your problem is solved without any extra fuss.

I log almost everything on my health apps, from my macros to my dental habits. Based on all my tracking and research, once a cavity is formed, the biological structure cannot self-repair. The smartest move is to book a dentist appointment through an app and get it filled before it worsens.

I spent weeks googling 'how to heal cavities naturally' because I was so anxious about dental procedures. But everything pointed to the fact that they don't heal on their own. Please don't stress yourself out with endless searching; getting a small filling is actually very routine and relieves so much worry.

Honestly, letting a cavity sit hoping it heals will only cost you more money later. A simple filling is quite cheap, but if you wait and it turns into a root canal or requires a crown, the budget goes completely out of window. Better to plan a quick clinic visit now and save your hard-earned money.

For mild tooth sensitivity, rinsing with warm saline water or applying clove oil can give temporary relief. But please remember, these home remedies cannot actually heal a cavity once a hole has formed. You must see a dentist to get it properly cleaned and filled.

Beta, please don't neglect your teeth. Home remedies might stop the pain for a little while, but they cannot fill the hole in your tooth. Go to a good dentist in town and get it looked at. Take care of your health.
