Can cavities be white?

I noticed a small white spot on one of my teeth, and I'm worried it might be the start of a cavity. My sister said cavities are usually dark, but I'm confused. Can cavities sometimes appear white?

Yes, absolutely! I always thought cavities had to be black, but then my dentist showed me these chalky white spots on my front teeth. Turns out, those white spots are actually the very beginning of tooth decay.

I totally get how confusing this is, I went through a phase where I was obsessively checking my teeth. When I noticed white patches, I ignored them thinking they weren't cavities, and ended up needing a root canal later. It is so stressful, but getting it checked early is the best way.

Bro, yes, they start as chalky white marks because the enamel is losing minerals. If you catch them at this 'white' stage, you can actually reverse it with good fluoride toothpaste. Don't wait for them to turn black.

Early white spots on teeth mean the enamel is getting weak. While you should see a dentist, you can also start oil pulling with sesame oil and rinsing with warm salt water daily to keep your mouth clean and help the teeth heal.

Actually yaar, yes! White spots are basically pre-cavities. If you ignore them, they will turn brown and then black. Better go to a dentist and get a clean-up done before it gets bad.

Our bodies give us gentle signs, and white spots on the teeth are just a small warning to take better care of ourselves. Stay positive, brush mindfully, and let a doctor guide you on the next steps.

I panicked so much when I saw white patches on my teeth, thinking my teeth were rotting away. But my dentist reassured me it's just early demineralization. He gave me a special fluoride gel, and they actually faded away after a few weeks.

Yes, white spots mean early decay. If you have a busy schedule, don't ignore them thinking they are harmless stains. A quick 15-minute dental checkup now will save you hours of painful dental treatments later.

Yes, early cavities look like dull white spots. Just like we need regular health checkups and blood tests to monitor thyroid levels, regular dental visits are necessary to catch these quiet white lesions before they become deep cavities.

From what my dentist explained, initial demineralization of the tooth enamel presents as a white, chalky spot. This is the only stage where the cavity can actually be remineralized and healed without a filling, so a dental consult is highly recommended.
