Can catnip cause vomiting?
My cat sometimes gets into the catnip, and a few times, after a lot of it, it throws up. I'm wondering, can catnip actually cause vomiting in cats if they consume too much? I don't want my pet to be sick.

Yes, it definitely can! 🐱 If cats eat too much fresh or dried catnip, it can upset their tummy and make them vomit. Don't worry though, just limit their playtime with it and they'll be totally fine! 💕
My cat threw up twice after chewing on a catnip toy. Vet said it's common if they ingest too much of it. Best way is to keep catnip toys away after 10-15 minutes of play to avoid overexposure.
I totally get it, seeing your pet throw up can make you feel so anxious and helpless. Catnip is generally safe, but too much of it can irritate their stomach and cause vomiting. Try removing the catnip for a few days and see if they feel better.
Just like we have to monitor our diet and get regular checkups for our health, we must watch what our pets consume. Catnip can cause stomach irritation and vomiting if eaten in excess. If the vomiting doesn't stop, a quick vet visit is necessary.
I'm not a vet, but from what I've observed with my own pets, yes, swallowing too much catnip can lead to mild vomiting or diarrhea. It is always better to supervise them and call your vet if they keep throwing up.
