Can carpal tunnel cause arm pain?

I've been experiencing tingling and numbness in my hands, and my doctor mentioned carpal tunnel. Sometimes I also get a sharp pain running up my arm. Can carpal tunnel cause arm pain that radiates like that?

Actually yaar, carpal tunnel pain doesn't just stay in your wrist. It can easily shoot up your forearm and make your whole arm ache, especially after long typing sessions. Try using an ergonomic mouse, it really helps.

Beta, the nerves in our hands are connected all the way up. Massage your arm gently with warm mustard oil and avoid lifting heavy things for a few days. If the pain is too severe, please show it to a proper doctor.

Yes, the pressure on the nerve in your wrist can make your whole arm ache. I tried soaking my hands in warm water with Epsom salt and doing light wrist stretches, which gave me great relief. Give it a try, but see a doctor if it doesn't improve.

Yes, carpal tunnel definitely causes radiating pain up your arm. You should get a wrist brace to keep it stable.

My college-going daughter had this exact problem from typing her assignments all day; her whole arm used to ache. We got her a wrist splint to wear at night and made her take regular breaks, which helped her recover nicely.

Yes, nerve compression in the wrist can cause radiating pain up the arm. Since diabetic neuropathy can also cause similar numbness and pain, it's very important to keep your blood sugar in control and get a proper medical diagnosis.

Yes! I got this arm pain from constantly holding my heavy phone to shoot food photos and eating with chopsticks. It radiates all the way up. I had to take a break from cooking and texting to let my arm rest.
