Can cancer spread from one person to another?

My nani has been diagnosed with cancer, and we visit her often. We're very careful, of course, but I had this doubt in my mind, can cancer actually spread from one person to another, like a cold or something?

I had a very complicated health journey myself, and I can tell you that cancer is absolutely not contagious like a cold or flu. But if you have any doubts about symptoms or health changes, please consult a qualified doctor rather than trying to figure it out yourself.

Totally agree with others, it doesn't spread from person to person. You can safely hug and be close to your loved ones who are fighting it.

Cancer is not infectious at all, so don't worry about catching it from someone. If you are planning care for a family member, focus your budget on their treatments and hospital tests instead of spending money on unnecessary isolation or separate utensils.

No, cancer is not contagious. It is caused by genetic mutations within a person's own cells, not by any germ or virus that can jump from one person to another. You can share food, clothes, and hugs without any fear.

Haan na, completely agree with everyone. It doesn't spread by touching or being near them at all. So don't worry, just give them lots of love and care, they need us.

Beta, in my seventy years, I have seen many family members face this tough illness. We looked after them day and night, shared the same rooms, and stayed close. None of us ever got it because it simply does not spread like that. Be there for them without fear.
