Can cancer be infected?

Someone mentioned that a person's cancer got infected. I thought infections were from bacteria or viruses. Can cancer itself actually get infected, or did I misunderstand something?

If you mean can you catch cancer like a cold or flu, the answer is absolutely no. Cancer is not contagious. However, certain viral infections like HPV can increase the risk of developing cancer later. Always focus on building immunity and regular medical checkups.

Please keep your heart at peace, cancer is not an infectious disease that can spread from one person to another by touching or sitting together. Take good care of your loved ones without any fear in your mind. Stay positive.

Please rest assured that cancer is not contagious and cannot be passed to anyone else. It is safe to be around and care for cancer patients. Do consult a doctor if you have any health concerns.

No, cancer is not infectious and cannot be transmitted from person to person. However, cancer patients have weak immunity and can easily catch infections from others. If you are caring for someone, maintain good hygiene and consult their doctor for safety guidelines.

When we were treating my relative at Artemis Hospital, the doctors clearly explained that cancer is not contagious at all. But because chemotherapy lowers their immunity, we had to protect them from getting normal infections. Please talk to your oncologist to get clear advice.

Don't worry, you can't catch cancer by sharing a plate of delicious bhature or sitting with someone who has it! It is not an infection. Just eat healthy, keep your immunity up, and definitely ask a doctor if you have any doubts.
