Can caffeine withdrawal cause vomiting?

Decided to stop drinking coffee completely recently, and since then I've been feeling extremely nauseous and have even vomited a couple of times. Could these severe symptoms be due to caffeine withdrawal, or is it something else?

I am trying to reduce my tea intake but today I felt so nauseous and almost vomited. Is this normal during caffeine withdrawal, or should I be worried? Please let me know if anyone else has gone through this.

Actually yaar, quitting black coffee suddenly gave me such a bad headache that I ended up vomiting. It was so bad. Don't quit suddenly, thoda thoda karke reduce karo, otherwise body withstand nahi kar paati.

I tried to quit cold turkey last month and had terrible nausea. My doctor advised me to taper off slowly, like reducing from three cups to two, then one, rather than quitting suddenly. It worked much better and stopped the vomiting feel.

Severe caffeine withdrawal can indeed cause intense migraines, which often lead to nausea and vomiting. However, persistent vomiting can cause dehydration, so it is highly recommended to speak with a physician for proper guidance.

Yes, caffeine withdrawal headaches can be so severe that they trigger the vomiting center in the brain. Try to sip on ORS or coconut water to stay hydrated. If the vomiting is continuous and you can't keep fluids down, please visit a clinic.

I have seen many young people complain of this when they try to quit tea or coffee suddenly. The sudden change causes severe acidity and headache, leading to vomiting. Sip some warm lemon water and consult your family doctor if it doesn't stop.

Don't assume vomiting is just caffeine withdrawal and ignore it. It could be food poisoning, acidity, or something else entirely. Better to consult a qualified doctor rather than reading random forums online.

My smart band showed my heart rate was all over the place when I quit coffee suddenly, and I felt super nauseous too. The app suggested tracking water intake and gradually cutting down. Try tapering off caffeine slowly instead of stopping all at once.

With my high BP, I have to be very careful with caffeine and stress. Sometimes a sudden drop in caffeine changes blood flow in the brain, causing nausea. Make sure to keep check of your blood pressure and get a routine checkup done.

At this age, skipping my morning cup of tea gives me such a bad headache that I feel like throwing up. It's a real struggle! But if you are actually vomiting repeatedly, please don't just sit and suffer, go see a doctor.
