Can bronchitis give you fever?

With a bad chesty cough and congestion, my doctor diagnosed bronchitis. I also have a low-grade fever. Is it normal to get a fever with bronchitis, or should I be concerned?

I have a heavy cough and my body is feeling very warm today. Is it normal to get a fever with bronchitis, or does it mean the infection is getting worse?

Yes, a mild fever is quite common as your body is fighting the infection. Just take rest, drink warm water, and see a doctor if the fever stays high for more than three days.

Yes, viral or bacterial bronchitis often comes with a low-grade fever. Don't let it linger and affect your work week; consult a doctor online to get the right medication soon.

Bro, definitely. I had a 101-degree fever with my bronchitis last winter. The body aches and shivering were brutal, so just take your meds and crash on the bed.

Yes, my smartwatch tracked a spike in my resting heart rate and skin temperature when I had bronchitis. A mild fever is standard. Keep tracking your temperature and see a doctor if it doesn't settle.

Yes, infections like bronchitis can cause a fever and temporarily raise your blood pressure too due to stress. Make sure you check your vitals regularly and consult your doctor for safe fever medicines.

I literally just got over this last week. Had a mild fever for the first three days along with a nasty cough. Spoke to my GP, got some steam therapy going, and it settled down fine.

Yes, bronchitis is an inflammatory infection, so a fever is a typical response. Just monitor it closely. If you develop high fever, severe chest tightness, or trouble breathing, head to a clinic immediately.

In my experience, whenever I get chest congestion, a low-grade fever always follows for a day or two. I usually just rest and let my body heal, but I consult my doc if it doesn't go away.

Yes, fever is the body's natural heat fighting the congestion. Drink warm herbal infusions like tulsi and ginger tea, and avoid heavy breathing exercises until the fever completely goes down.
