Can bronchitis cause vomiting?

My cough from bronchitis has been so bad lately that I've actually coughed until I vomited a couple of times. I'm wondering if vomiting can be directly caused by severe bronchitis.

Yes, it is clinically quite common. My doctor explained that the post-nasal drip and swallowed mucus irritate the gastric lining, and the physical strain of severe coughing fits triggers the gag reflex, leading to vomiting. It is best to use a cough suppressant recommended by your practitioner.

Totally possible, man. I coughed so hard last week with my chest infection that I puked twice. It's just because of the crazy throat irritation. Just make sure you are hydrated.

Yes, I have experienced this during bad bouts of bronchitis. The trick is to avoid heavy, oily meals which make vomiting easier. Stick to light khichdi, take warm steam, and let your doctor know if the vomiting doesn't stop.

It is quite common, especially in kids and young adults, due to coughing fits or mucus build-up. Try taking warm fluids to thin the mucus. But if you have a very high fever, chest pain, or blood in your vomit, please go to a hospital immediately.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai jab khaansi bht zyada ho. It puts pressure on your stomach. If it's happening too often, stop guessing and see a doctor to get a proper syrup to soothe your throat.
