Can botox cause a stroke?

I'm considering getting Botox injections for some wrinkles on my face. However, I overheard someone saying that it can have serious side effects, like causing a stroke. Is there any truth to this claim?

My daughter gets Botox for her severe migraines on her doctor's advice. It is a highly localized treatment, and there is no connection between cosmetic Botox and strokes. You don't need to worry about such scary rumors.

While I believe in aging naturally through facial yoga and a peaceful lifestyle, medically speaking, Botox does not cause strokes. It stays near the injection site and doesn't affect your blood vessels like that. Rest your mind.

Actually, my dermatologist explained that the botulinum toxin used is in extremely micro-quantities. It relaxes local muscles and does not travel to the brain or blood vessels to cause clots or strokes. It is very safe when done by a certified pro.

As someone who has to monitor vascular health carefully due to diabetes, I looked into this. There is absolutely no clinical evidence linking Botox injections to strokes. Just keep your blood pressure and sugars under control, as those are the real risks.

I always get worried about any new treatment due to my thyroid health, but my physician assured me that Botox has no link to strokes. Just ensure you get it done by a qualified doctor in a proper clinic, not a random salon.
