Can bloodwork detect cancer?

My colleague was diagnosed with cancer recently after a routine health check-up, which was quite a shock. I'm now thinking about getting myself tested. Can bloodwork detect cancer early on?

As a diabetic, I get blood work done every three months, and it tracks my HbA1c beautifully. But for cancer, normal blood work doesn't show much unless they test specific tumor markers or it's a blood cancer. Don't rely on basic tests for this, always consult a specialist.

Haan, blood test se thoda bahut doubt clear hota hai, par sab kuch nahi pata chalta na. Blood cancers ke liye toh CBC test help karta hai, par baki types ke liye biopsy aur scans lagte hain. Ek baar ache doctor ko dikha lo.

Man, I stayed up till 3 AM reading about this because of a weird lump. Turns out blood work can suggest some issues or detect blood-related cancers, but for most solid tumors, you need proper scans and biopsies. Save yourself the late-night panic and see a doctor.

Hey, take a deep breath. Routine blood work can show if your body is fighting something, but it's not a definitive test for all cancers. Don't let your mind jump to the worst conclusions. Let's get you checked by a doctor who can explain things properly.

I remember the absolute terror I felt waiting for my mother's test results, it is a very dark place to be. Just know that blood tests are usually just a starting point for doctors to investigate further, not a final answer. Sending you lots of strength.
