Can blood work detect prostate cancer?

My friend recently got diagnosed with prostate cancer, and it's got me thinking about my own health. I go for regular health check-ups. Can the routine blood tests that doctors do actually detect prostate cancer, or are specific tests needed?

We tried giving my uncle various herbal juices for his urine issues, but we soon realized medical tests are necessary. Yes, there is a blood test called PSA which checks for prostate issues. Please see a proper urologist instead of relying on home tips.

I can only share what happened with my father. His doctor recommended a yearly PSA blood test once he crossed 60. It helped us keep track of his prostate health, though they also did physical exams to be sure.

Yes, the PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) blood test is the standard screening tool. From my experience, remember that a high PSA doesn't always mean cancer; it can also be due to inflammation or infection. Always get an MRI or biopsy done if the doctor suggests it.

I got so anxious when my dad had to do this test last month, and I spent nights reading about it. Yes, they do a PSA blood test first, but please remember high levels don't immediately mean cancer. Try to stay calm and consult a doctor.

It can be worrying to wait for these tests, but the PSA blood test is a very simple and common way to check. I hope everything turns out completely fine for you. Take care.

Haan, PSA blood test se prostate cancer ka screening ho jata hai. Par sirf ek test se doctor poora confirm nahi karte na. Agar koi dikat lag rahi hai toh acche urologist ko dikha lo, wo sahi salah denge.

I was researching this online for a college project. The PSA blood test is definitely the first step doctors use to spot prostate issues, but a high score can also be a simple benign enlargement. It's always best to get a doctor's final opinion.
