Can blood pressure cause fever?

Sometimes when my blood pressure is very high, I also feel quite warm and feverish, though I don't usually have a fever. Is there any connection between blood pressure and body temperature? Can high blood pressure cause a fever?

Haan bhai, waise toh normal BP se fever nahi hota, par jab sharir me koi infection hota hai na, toh fever aur BP dono badh sakte hain. Ek baar doctor se checkup kara lo toh sahi pata chalega.

I have been managing high blood pressure for ten years now. Usually, high BP itself doesn't cause a fever, but a severe infection can cause both fever and fluctuating BP. Make sure you are keeping a regular check on your lifestyle and taking your medications.

Hey, don't worry too much. Blood pressure and fever are usually separate issues, though a fever can make your heart beat faster and temporarily raise your BP. Just rest, stay hydrated, and if the fever stays high, let's get you checked by a doctor.

I went to a specialist last month for a similar concern. He clearly explained that high blood pressure does not cause fever; rather, a viral or bacterial infection causes the fever, which subsequently raises your heart rate and BP. Please ask your doctor for a proper diagnosis.

My teenage daughter once had a high fever and we noticed her blood pressure also shot up due to the stress on her body. They don't directly cause each other, but an underlying illness can trigger both. Please consult a pediatrician or family doctor to be safe.

Do not believe any random online claims saying high BP causes fever. They are medically distinct symptoms. A fever indicates your immune system is fighting something, which needs a proper medical evaluation by a doctor, not home remedies.
