Can bladder infection cause nausea vomiting?

I've been feeling quite unwell lately, experiencing nausea and even vomiting, along with some discomfort when I urinate. My doctor suspects a bladder infection. Can a bladder infection actually cause nausea and vomiting?

I am actually facing this since yesterday and felt so scared to ask. My stomach feels funny and I feel like throwing up. Does the vomiting happen only when the infection spreads to the kidneys, or can it happen early on too?

Yes, it absolutely can, but you have to be careful. Sometimes nausea and vomiting mean the infection is trying to move up to your kidneys. Please don't sit on this, get a urine routine test done and show a doc today itself so they can start the right antibiotic.

Actually yaar, mere saath bhi same hua tha last year. I thought basic acidity hai and I was taking antacids, but the nausea just wouldn't go. Turns out it was a bad UTI. Better to get it checked by a doctor soon, don't ignore it.

Whenever I get a severe urinary tract infection, my stomach gets extremely upset and I just can't keep food down. It is always a signal for me that the infection is getting worse. I usually run straight to my physician when the vomiting starts.

Oh god, I totally feel your pain and it is so exhausting to deal with. Last month I was crying in the washroom because of the burning pain and constant vomiting. Please stay strong, drink water slowly, and please consult a doctor to get some relief soon.

Beta, body is throwing heat and toxins out, that is why you feel like vomiting. Drink lots of warm water and clear coconut water to flush the bladder, but do not rely only on home remedies for infections. Go see a doctor and get proper medicine so it doesn't increase.

With my diabetes, bladder infections are quite common and nausea makes it so hard to manage my sugar levels because I can't eat properly. If you are diabetic too, please check your blood sugar and get to a doctor immediately. Safe recovery to you.
