Can black mold cause asthma?

There's some black mold growing in our bathroom that we haven't been able to remove completely. My young son has developed asthma symptoms recently, and I'm wondering if the mold could be causing or worsening his condition. Can black mold really trigger asthma?

Please don't ignore mold in your house. I ignored some dampness and mold on my bedroom wall for months, and it triggered a chronic wheezing issue for me. Get your home cleaned and see a doctor if you are coughing.

Yes, breathing in mold spores can definitely irritate your airways and trigger asthma. I use an air purifier with a HEPA filter to keep the PM2.5 and mold spores down in my apartment, which really helps.

That black mold on the bathroom wall is more dangerous than your landlord! Yes, it can mess with your lungs. Get some bleach, scrub it off, and save your lungs the trouble.

Absolutely, mold is a major allergen. If you are starting to wheeze, don't wait around. Call a professional home cleaning service to remove the mold and consult a pulmonologist for a quick check.

Environmental allergens like mold can cause chronic inflammation, which is bad for overall health. Make sure to keep your living area dry and clean, and consult a doctor if you show any breathing symptoms.

Bro, my hostel room had crazy mold during the monsoons and I literally developed a bad cough and breathing issues. Once I shifted rooms, it cleared up. Clean it immediately.
