Can bisacodyl cause vomiting?
I took Bisacodyl for constipation last night, and this morning I woke up feeling very nauseous and then vomited. Could this medicine be the reason for my vomiting? I've never reacted this way to it before.

Yes, beta. Bisacodyl is a strong stimulant laxative and can sometimes cause severe abdominal cramps, which leads to nausea and vomiting. If it's too much, stop the medicine and try drinking warm water.
Please be careful. I once ignored vomiting after taking a laxative, thinking it was normal, but it led to severe dehydration. If you keep vomiting, please see a doctor immediately.
Since I manage high BP, I have to be very careful with laxatives because severe vomiting can upset your electrolyte balance. Lifestyle changes like high-fiber food and proper checkups are much safer than relying on pills.
Yes, bisacodyl can trigger vomiting, especially if taken on an empty stomach or with milk/antacids. Drink plenty of ORS to avoid dehydration, and if the vomiting persists, switch to a milder stool softener.
I had such a horrible night when I took it, I was crying in the bathroom with bad cramps and throwing up. It is an awful feeling, so don't feel bad about stopping it and calling your doctor.
