Can birth control cause stomach pain?

Ever since I started my new birth control, I've been getting frequent stomach aches and discomfort. Is stomach pain a known side effect of birth control pills?

Stomach pain can sometimes be a sign of something else entirely. It is always better to get it checked by a proper doctor instead of assuming it is just a normal side effect of your birth control.

Beta, these modern hormone medicines are very strong for the stomach. Try sipping some lukewarm water with a bit of ajwain to ease the gas, but do consult your lady doctor if the pain continues.

Yes, it absolutely can. Cramps and mild nausea are pretty standard when you start. But if it's severe, don't sit on it—go see your gynecologist and change the brand.

I remember crying because the cramping and bloating made me feel so miserable and frustrated with my body. It is completely normal to feel upset, but please talk to your doctor to see if there is a better option.

Aise dolo ya random dawayi mat khao pet dard ke liye. Apni doctor didi se baat karo, woh sahi rasta batayengi. Garam paani piyo aur thoda aaram karo.

The hormones can disturb the digestive fire or 'agni' in our body. Doing gentle Vajrasana after light meals might help ease the bloating, but always listen to your doctor first.

My girlfriend had such bad stomach pain when she started her pills, we both couldn't sleep for days. Honestly, just ask the doctor to change the prescription before you lose your mind from the lack of sleep.

If you are busy with work and can't find time to visit a clinic, just book a quick 10-minute online consult. It's much better than ignoring the pain or googling symptoms during office hours.

Hey, don't worry. Minor stomach cramps are a known side effect when you start birth control. Just keep an eye on it for a day or two, and if it doesn't settle, we can always ask the doc to change the brand.

In my experience, slight cramping can happen when your body adjusts to the hormones. But if the pain is sharp or very severe, please do not ignore it and visit your doctor immediately.

Keep your meals very simple and non-spicy right now—lots of curd and yellow dal khichdi. Sometimes the pill makes your stomach sensitive, so light food can help manage the irritation.

You can try drinking warm peppermint or ginger tea to soothe your stomach. But if you have severe or sudden pain, please stop all home remedies and go straight to a clinic.

It is really hard when your stomach hurts like this. Try using a hot water bag and take some rest today, hopefully it goes away soon.
