Can bad heartburn cause vomiting?

Heartburn hits me quite often, especially after heavy meals. Sometimes it burns so much that I feel like I might vomit. Can really bad heartburn actually make you throw up?

Yes, severe heartburn or acid reflux can irritate the lining of your esophagus and throat, which can easily trigger your gag reflex and cause vomiting. It is best to avoid sleeping immediately after eating and consult a doctor to address the root cause.

When you eat too much spicy biryani, your stomach sometimes decides to send it back with an express delivery! Heartburn can absolutely make you throw up. Jokes apart, do go see a doctor if this is happening regularly.

Oh yes, that burning sensation can get so bad that it makes you throw up! 🌶️ Try having cold milk for temporary relief, but definitely get a doctor to check it out so you can enjoy your meals peacefully again!

I used to throw up frequently because of severe GERD and heartburn. I managed to get it under control by eating smaller, frequent meals and getting a proper prescription from my gastroenterologist. Don't rely on quick-fix antacids forever, see a doctor.

Yes, bad heartburn can sometimes lead to vomiting. Please try sitting upright, avoid heavy food, and consult a doctor to find the right treatment for your acid levels.
