Can bad allergies cause a fever?

My allergies have been really bad lately, with constant sneezing and a runny nose. Today, I also noticed I have a slight fever. Can severe allergies actually cause a rise in body temperature?

Generally, seasonal allergies like hay fever don't directly cause a physical fever. But they can drain your body and lower your immunity, making you susceptible to catching a viral infection. Focus on good rest, hydration, and consult a doctor.

Please don't assume a fever is just from allergies. I once ignored a low-grade fever thinking it was my usual dust allergy, but it turned out to be a severe sinus infection that needed strong antibiotics. Go see a doctor and get it diagnosed properly.

If you have a fever, it is usually a sign of an infection rather than simple allergies. Instead of buying expensive OTC allergy medicines, it is cheaper to visit a local clinic for a basic physical checkup to see if you have a bacterial infection.

My family always tells me to drink warm turmeric water for any sniffles or heat in the body. However, allergies don't typically cause a real fever, so if your temperature is up, it is best to consult a doctor to check for a sinus or chest infection.

I have been sneezing continuously and now I have a 100-degree fever, and I am really worried. Has anyone else got a fever just from allergies, or does this mean I definitely have some viral or bacterial infection?

I always panic when my allergy symptoms start feeling like a fever. Usually, allergies just make you feel warm and exhausted, but a real fever means your immune system is fighting an actual bug. Please get it checked by a doc so you don't overthink like me!
