Can back pain make you nauseous?

My chronic back pain has been really bad lately, and I've noticed I'm feeling nauseous more often, especially during these pain episodes. Can back pain really make you feel sick to your stomach?

Yes, severe muscle spasms in the back can definitely make you feel nauseous due to the intense pain signals hitting your nervous system. What worked for me was lying on a hard surface with a pillow under my knees to relieve pressure, but you must consult a doctor first.

As someone who sees patients all day, I can tell you that extreme pain can stimulate your autonomic nervous system, leading to nausea. Just make sure it isn't accompanied by high fever or pain radiating to your abdomen, and please get a doctor's opinion.

It is so overwhelming when you are dealing with chronic back pain and then the nausea kicks in. It made me feel so helpless and down. Please know you are not alone in this, and getting professional medical help is the first step to feeling better.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai. Jab dard bahut zyada badh jata hai na, toh ulti jaisa lagne lagta hai body ko. Isko ignore mat karo, thoda aaram karo aur doctor ko dikha lo.

Since I have thyroid issues, my body reacts weirdly to pain and metabolic changes can cause nausea too. If your back pain and nausea are frequent, I highly suggest getting routine blood tests and consulting your doctor for a proper plan.

When I had this, I went to a proper hospital and asked my spine specialist directly about the nausea. They explained that intense pain triggers a vagal response which causes stomach upset. Don't rely on random advice, ask your doctor clearly.

My orthopedist explained that acute lower back pain can irritate the autonomic nervous system. This irritation directly slows down your gastrointestinal tract, leading to nausea and even loss of appetite. He suggested focusing on pain management first.

Please don't ignore this. I once ignored back pain and nausea thinking it was just acidity, but it turned out to be a severe kidney infection that landed me in the hospital. Get yourself checked by a proper doctor immediately.

I was researching this because my mom started feeling sick alongside her lower back ache. Turns out the same nerves that go to your back also communicate with your digestive tract, so it makes sense. Has anyone found relief from specific diet changes?

Severe pain can spike your blood pressure, which often results in a nauseous feeling. I always check my BP whenever I feel sick like this. Please go get a proper checkup done to make sure your vitals are fine.

If the pain is that severe, it is definitely a warning sign. Once you see a doctor and get their clearance, try incorporating gentle walking and core stability exercises to prevent these heavy pain episodes from returning.
