Can back pain cause dizziness?

I often feel dizzy, especially when my chronic back pain flares up. It's making daily tasks quite difficult. Could my persistent back pain be contributing to these dizzy spells?

Yes, especially if the pain is in the cervical spine (neck). Neck stiffness can affect blood flow and nerves, leading to dizziness, known as cervicogenic vertigo. Gentle neck rotations and pranayama can help, but do get a doctor's diagnosis first.

Haan beta, jab peeth mein bohot dard hota hai toh dimaag pe asar padta hai aur chakkar aane lagte hain. Kamzori ki wajah se bhi ho sakta hai. Thoda garam doodh piyo aur doctor babu ko zaroor dikhao.

Upper back or neck strain can definitely impact nerves that control balance, causing a dizzy sensation. Since dizziness can also be linked to other health issues, it's highly recommended to consult a neurologist or orthopedist.

Sometimes low vitamin B12 or iron deficiency causes both nerve pain in the back and dizziness. Try incorporating spinach, beetroot, and dairy into your diet, but please check with a doctor for a proper blood test.

At my age, waking up too fast from bed is enough to cause both back pain and dizziness! But seriously, a stiff neck can definitely cause vertigo. Go see a doctor before you end up spinning like a top.

I had cervical spondylosis which caused intense upper back pain and sudden dizzy spells. The best tip is to use a very thin pillow, avoid looking down at your phone for long, and get a proper physiotherapy plan.
