Can back cause groin pain?

I've been having lower back pain for a few weeks, and now I'm also feeling a dull ache in my groin area. Could my back pain be causing this discomfort in my groin?

Yes, absolutely. A pinched nerve in your lower spine, like L1 to L3, can easily radiate pain straight to your groin. Don't waste time on massage, get an MRI done to see what's happening.

I had this for months and honestly thought I had some terrible reproductive issue. I was crying in stress daily. It turned out to be a herniated disc in my back. Please know you are not crazy, the connection is real.

I ignored my lower back stiffness and groin pain thinking it was just a gym strain. It turned out to be a severe nerve compression that required months of therapy. Go see an orthopedist before it gets worse.

This is so interesting, I was just reading about referred pain. It is crazy how a nerve compressed in the lower back can feel like pain in the groin area. Human anatomy is so weird!

Yes, lower back issues often cause pain in the groin area because of the nerve pathways. Please don't worry, rest well and consult a good physiotherapist soon.

Beta, the lower back controls everything below the waist. Warm compresses on the back can give some relief, but do not massage the groin area. Take rest, drink warm milk with turmeric, and see a doctor.

I panicked so much thinking it was appendicitis or ovarian cysts! But my doctor did some physical tests and showed it was just a muscle spasm in my lower back radiating forward. It got totally fine with basic stretches.
