Can aveeno help eczema?

My skin has been really dry and itchy, especially on my arms, and my doctor said it looks like eczema. Someone suggested trying Aveeno products, saying they're very soothing. Will Aveeno actually help with eczema symptoms, or should I look for something stronger?

Beta, I have seen my kids and grandkids deal with dry, itchy patches for years. The Aveeno with oatmeal works quite well to calm the skin down when used regularly after a bath. Just keep applying it consistently and avoid harsh soaps, it gets better with time.

Honestly, at this age, my skin has its own mood swings. Aveeno does soothe the crazy itching on my hands, but don't expect it to magically cure everything. It is basically a decent daily moisturizer, just don't expect miracles when a bad flare-up hits.

Omg same here, my eczema flares up so bad during exams. The Aveeno dermexa cream is actually pretty good and doesn't feel super sticky. It's thoda expensive for a student budget, but totally worth it to stop the constant scratching.

Aveeno is fine, but I usually apply a bit of pure virgin coconut oil on wet skin first, which really helps dry patches. However, if the eczema is weeping, bleeding, or looking red and infected, please don't experiment at home. Go see a good dermatologist immediately.

I completely understand how frustrating and exhausting this is, especially when you feel like hiding your hands or neck. Aveeno really helped restore my skin barrier when it was raw and painful. You are not alone in this, please stay strong and give it some time to heal.
