Can asthma spread to others?

My little one has just been diagnosed with asthma, and I'm a bit concerned about other children in the family. Can asthma be spread to others, like a cold or flu, or is it something that only affects the person who has it?

No, asthma does not spread to others, it is not catching like a cold. For mild chest congestion you can drink warm tulsi tea, but please consult a doctor if you are having severe breathlessness.

Don't worry, child, asthma is not a disease that can pass to your family members. I've had it for years and my husband is perfectly fine. Taking steam with a little carom seeds (ajwain) helps clear the chest, but do keep your doctor's medicines handy.

Nah, it doesn't spread. My roommate has had crazy asthma since childhood and we've been sharing a room for two years, I'm absolutely fine. It's completely non-contagious, so chill.

If asthma was contagious, my whole office would be wheezing with me by now! Thankfully, it doesn't spread to anyone. It's just my own dramatic lungs acting up on their own.

Please do not worry, asthma is not something that can spread to your loved ones. Stay positive and take good care of your health. With proper breathing and a peaceful mind, you will manage it well.

No, asthma is not contagious. Don't believe any random WhatsApp forwards claiming otherwise or offering miracle cures to 'stop it from spreading'. Please consult a proper pulmonologist for scientific facts.

Be rest assured, asthma is not like a common cold, it will not spread to others in the house. Drink warm water and do light steam inhalation to soothe your chest, but keep your doctor's prescriptions nearby.

Are haan, tension mat lo, ye bilkul nahi phailta kisi ko. Ye koi chhoot ki bimari nahi hai na. Bas dust aur pollution se thoda bach ke raho aur doctor ki salah lete raho.

No, it is not an infectious disease, so it cannot spread. Along with your regular medical advice, eating warm, freshly cooked green vegetables and avoiding cold curd or ice water can help keep your own symptoms under control.

I used to panic thinking I might give my breathing issues to my parents, but I did a lot of reading and doctors confirmed it doesn't spread at all. It's just an internal allergy response. Hope you feel better soon, don't stress!

Actually no yaar, asthma can't spread to anyone else. It's just a personal allergy or lung sensitivity thing. You can chill around your friends and family without worrying about passing it on.

It definitely doesn't spread. If you have asthma, focus on building your cardiovascular endurance slowly. Diet and light cardio can help strengthen your lungs, but just consult your doctor before starting any intense workout.
