Can asthma cause heart problems?

My doctor mentioned that having asthma for a long time can sometimes affect other organs. I'm worried about my heart. Can asthma cause heart problems over time, or is it generally contained to the lungs?

Haan, chronic asthma long run mein heart par thoda strain toh daalta hai na. Oxygen levels low rehne se heart ko jyada mehnat karni padti hai. So it's very important to keep your asthma well under control.

I have lived with asthma for over forty years now, and my heart is still doing fine because I never missed my checkups. Don't let fear get to you, just manage your symptoms properly and listen to your doctor.

Between managing my knees, my BP, and now worrying about asthma hurting my heart, my body feels like a vintage car! But seriously, if you keep your asthma controlled with regular meds, it won't trouble your heart much.

If my heart raced any faster during asthma attacks, I could probably power a small generator, haha! Jokes apart, it’s mostly just temporary stress on the system, so no need to overthink yourself into a panic attack.

Haan na, even I used to worry a lot about this. Severe asthma can strain the heart because of low oxygen, but regular treatment keeps things normal. Bas tension mat lo and take your inhalers on time.

My physician explained that poorly managed asthma can lead to pulmonary hypertension over time, which strains the right side of the heart. Keeping your airway inflammation minimal with daily preventers is the best way to safeguard cardiac health.

I was just reading about this online! Apparently, long-term severe asthma can slightly increase the risk of cardiovascular issues, but keeping it controlled minimizes the danger. Always good to double-check with a specialist though.

Does anyone else get a squeezing feeling in their chest during winter asthma attacks? It makes me so anxious that my heart is failing or something. Please tell me if this is normal or if I should get a cardiac test done.

My thyroid fluctuations also affect my heart rate, and managing asthma on top of that is tough. I highly recommend getting regular blood work and an annual ECG done just to monitor how your body is handling both conditions.

Low oxygen from asthma can stress the heart, and high sugar makes it worse. I try to keep my diet very clean—low carbs, lots of steamed veggies—to protect my heart and keep inflammation down. Make sure to consult your doc.
