Can asthma cause heart palpitations?

Sometimes during an asthma attack, or even just when I'm feeling breathless, my heart starts fluttering. It's a very unsettling feeling. Can asthma cause heart palpitations, or should I be worried about my heart itself?

I get palpitations almost every time I use my rescue inhaler during an asthma attack. My chest starts thumping really fast, but it usually settles down after about fifteen or twenty minutes of sitting quietly.

Look, heart palpitations are quite common with asthma because of the breathing stress, or even from the inhalers. But don't sit and guess. Go to a good doctor, get an ECG done, and clear your doubts once and for all.

Beta, when the breathing is heavy, the heart naturally has to work harder. Drink some warm ginger water or take steam to open the chest, and keep your mind very calm. If it doesn't stop, show it to a proper doctor.

Managing both blood sugar and asthma is tricky, and I often feel my heart thumping. I always make sure my sugar isn't dropping first, as low sugar also causes palpitations. Keep a close watch on your diet and medical reports.

I ignored my chest palpitations for months thinking it was just my asthma pump acting up, until I ended up in the emergency ward. Please do not make the same mistake. Get a proper checkup to rule out any underlying heart issue.

You can get a basic ECG done at a local government diagnostic center for just 150-200 rupees if you want to be sure. It's much cheaper than ignoring it and facing an emergency later. Practical planning is better than worrying.

My Apple Watch showed my heart rate jumping to 115 bpm during an asthma flare-up yesterday. The lack of oxygen plus the inhaler side effects both cause palpitations. Try logging your symptoms on an app so you can show the patterns to your doctor.

Dude, during exams my asthma and palpitations both go crazy together! I think it's mostly the stress and coffee that triggers it, but it seriously feels like my heart is gonna jump out of my chest.

Actually yaar, those asthma pump sprays can make your heart race like crazy sometimes. I told my doc about it and he adjusted the dose thoda, which really helped. Don't worry, but just check with your doc once.

Hey, don't panic. It is actually very common for asthma or the medications to cause a fluttery feeling in your chest. Take deep, slow breaths and sit upright. If you feel dizzy or have pain, let someone know and see a doctor right away, okay?
