Can asthma cause heart attack?

My neighbour, who also has severe asthma, recently had a heart attack. It has made me quite anxious about my own condition. Can asthma cause a heart attack, or are these two separate issues that just happened to both of us?

True, severe asthma doesn't directly trigger a heart attack but the strain on your body is real. Definitely keep your inhaler close and check with your doc regular basis.

Honestly, poor oxygenation during bad asthma attacks can stress your cardiovascular system over time. I focus on moderate cardio and clean eating to keep my heart and lungs as strong as possible, but you have to know your limits and never push through a bad breathing day.

Listen, direct heart attacks from asthma are very rare, but long-term respiratory strain does put pressure on the heart. If you ever feel chest tightness that doesn't go away with your usual inhaler, or starts radiating to your arm, please go to the ER immediately.

My smart band always shows my heart rate spiking when my asthma flares up. It's not a direct heart attack, but low oxygen makes your heart work double time. Best to track your vitals during flare-ups and share the logs with your cardiologist or chest specialist.

Do not take too much stress, child, as anxiety only makes breathing harder and hurts the heart. Stay positive, practice calm breathing when you are well, and trust your doctors to guide you.

When I had a really bad attack last year, my chest was hurting so badly I panicked thinking it was a heart attack. Turns out it was just extreme muscle strain from struggling to breathe, but my doctor still did an ECG just to be absolutely safe.

Beta, severe asthma can make the heart beat very fast, which is not good for old people. Keep your chest warm and drink lukewarm water, but if there is heavy pain or breathlessness, don't sit at home waiting, go straight to the hospital.

I get so breathless after eating heavy spicy foods sometimes that my asthma acts up, and then the panic makes my heart race like crazy! Keeping meals light and avoiding cold items late at night has really helped keep my chest clear.

Bro, my doc told me asthma itself doesn't cause a heart attack, but the medications or extreme lack of oxygen during a massive attack can strain your heart. If you are getting chest pain, don't ignore it, get it checked out.

I just got back from a hospital stay last month due to a severe asthma relapse, and they monitored my heart the whole time. The doctors explained that while it's not a heart attack, low oxygen is dangerous for cardiac health, so managing asthma is key.

At 50+, even a heavy sneeze makes me worry about my heart, haha! But seriously, severe asthma attacks do feel like a heart issue sometimes because of the chest pressure. Just get a yearly cardiac screening done so you can sleep peacefully.

According to my pulmonologist, chronic untreated asthma causes systemic inflammation which can indirectly elevate cardiovascular risks over many years. It is highly recommended to keep your inflammation under control with regular preventer inhalers under medical supervision.
