Can asthma cause copd?

My mother has been struggling with breathing issues for years, and lately, the doctor mentioned something about her asthma potentially turning into COPD. I'm very worried. Can long-term asthma eventually cause COPD?

Dekho, untreated asthma can damage your lung airways permanently over many years, which can eventually lead to irreversible conditions like COPD. Isliye inhaler se daro mat, use regular rakho aur faltu ke experiments mat karo lungs ke saath. Doctor ki baat mano.

Allowing asthma to turn into COPD is a major financial risk because COPD treatment and oxygen therapy are extremely expensive in the long run. It is much more budget-friendly to invest in regular spirometry tests and standard preventive inhalers now to keep your lungs healthy.

Long-term unmanaged inflammation from asthma can remodel your airways, increasing the risk of developing COPD later in life. Just as I keep my blood sugar strictly monitored to avoid nerve damage, you must keep your asthma strictly controlled under a doctor's care.

Yes, chronic untreated asthma can lead to permanent airway changes over time, sometimes called asthma-COPD overlap syndrome! 😮 So please take your daily controller medicines and keep your lungs happy! 🌸

I stayed up until 3 AM reading about this and honestly, it gave me so much anxiety. Yes, years of untreated asthma can cause irreversible lung damage like COPD. I am too tired to deal with that, so I'm just going to stick to what my pulmonologist says.

As if having asthma wasn't enough, now we have to worry about it turning into COPD! But jokes aside, chronic airway swelling from poorly managed asthma can permanently damage the lungs over decades. Better to take the medicine regularly so we don't have to face that later.

Bro, my doctor told me that if I don't use my preventer inhaler and let my lungs stay inflamed all the time, it can cause permanent lung damage similar to COPD when I get older. Since then, I don't skip my daily dose.
