Can asthma cause cardiac arrest?

My uncle passed away recently due to a very severe asthma attack, and the doctors mentioned 'cardiac arrest.' It made me very scared for my younger sister who also has severe asthma. Can asthma cause cardiac arrest in critical situations?

Just like managing my diabetes needs careful attention to avoid heart complications, managing asthma is crucial. If the body goes without enough oxygen during a severe attack, it can affect the heart. Please consult your physician and stick to your prescribed treatment.

From what I've researched, a very severe, untreated asthma attack can lead to a lack of oxygen in the blood, which can put extreme strain on the heart and potentially cause cardiac arrest. It is rare but shows how dangerous breathing difficulty can be if ignored.

While a clean, healthy vegetarian diet keeps our blood vessels in good shape, it cannot prevent the sudden oxygen drop of a severe asthma attack. That oxygen drop is what strains the heart. Please rely on proper medical inhalers and regular doctor checkups for such serious issues.

Actually, if an attack is extremely severe and you don't get oxygen in time, it can put the heart in trouble, yaar. That is why doctors always tell us never to ignore extreme breathlessness or chest tightness. Always keep your emergency inhaler close.

Hearing stuff like this makes my own heart skip a beat! But seriously, if you ignore severe breathlessness, the body runs out of fuel, which is oxygen, and the heart might stop. Don't play hero with asthma, just use your pump or rush to the doctor.

In our time, we used warm water and herbal steam for mild chest congestion, but for severe asthma, you must understand that the heart needs constant oxygen. If a person is gasping for air, do not try home remedies. Seek immediate hospital care to protect their heart.
