Can asthma be transmitted?

My daughter's classmate has asthma, and she came home saying she doesn't want to play with her because she might catch it. I tried to explain, but I'm not sure. Can asthma be transmitted from one person to another like a cold?

I totally get it, when you see a family member coughing and wheezing, you might worry if you can catch it too. But don't worry, asthma is completely non-contagious. You cannot catch it from someone like a common cold or flu.

No, asthma is not infectious at all, so it cannot be transmitted from person to person. However, if you or your family members are prone to allergies, keeping the house dust-free and drinking warm tulsi water can help keep the airways healthy. If anyone has constant breathing issues, a doctor should check them.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory lung condition, not an infectious disease, so transmission from one person to another is medically impossible. It can run in families due to genetics, though. It is best to consult a pulmonologist to understand your specific triggers.

Hahaha, no, my friend! You cannot catch asthma by sitting next to me or sharing my food, though my wife sometimes wishes she could blame her cough on me. It's a genetic and environmental thing, not something you pass around like viral fever.

Hey, relax. You cannot catch asthma from anyone, nor can you give it to someone else. It is just an internal sensitivity of the airways. Just take care of your health, avoid dust, and don't stress about catching it.

I used to panic thinking I would pass my breathing issues to my friends when I coughed near them. But after reading a lot, I realized it is absolutely not contagious. It is just our own oversensitive lungs reacting to triggers, so rest easy!
