Can aspirin cause stroke?

My father takes aspirin daily for heart health, but my neighbour warned him that taking too much can be dangerous and even cause a stroke. Is that true? Can aspirin actually cause a stroke, even if it's meant to prevent heart issues?

I understand your fear, but aspirin is actually given to prevent certain types of strokes. However, because it thins the blood, it can rarely increase the risk of a bleeding stroke if not taken under doctor's guidance. Please don't take it or stop it on your own; always ask your physician first.

My smartwatch tracks my heart rate and vascular health trends. When my dad was prescribed aspirin, the cardiologist explained that it prevents blood clots but carries a minor risk of internal bleeding. It's a delicate balance, so definitely let a doctor decide the dosage.

Aspirin is a very cheap medicine, but using it without a doctor can lead to expensive complications. Before self-medicating, budget a few hundred rupees for a proper doctor's consultation and prescription. It is much cheaper than emergency hospital bills later.

While doctors prescribe aspirin for heart health, keeping active is also highly effective. If your doctor clears you, try doing 30 minutes of daily walking. It naturally keeps your blood vessels healthy and reduces stroke risks without relying solely on pills.

Years ago, I ignored sudden dizziness and self-medicated with over-the-counter painkillers, which was a huge mistake that led to health complications. If you are experiencing any warning signs like numbness, slurred speech, or sudden weakness, please go to a hospital immediately. Don't wait.

With the amount of health warnings on the internet, even drinking water feels risky these days! But seriously, aspirin is a double-edged sword. It prevents one type of stroke but can cause bleeding in another, so let the doctor do the heavy thinking on this one.
