Can aspartame cause kidney stones?

I've been trying to cut down on sugar and switched to a lot of diet drinks and foods with artificial sweeteners like aspartame. My uncle, who had kidney stones, told me to be careful, saying aspartame can cause them. Should I be worried about this?

Instead of buying expensive diet sodas with aspartame, regular water or home lemon juice is much cheaper and safer. If you are worried about your kidneys, getting an ultrasound and renal profile test costs around 1500 rupees, which is better to budget for than guessing.

I got so paranoid about artificial sweeteners causing kidney issues that I threw away all my sugar-free tablets. There isn't clear proof linking aspartame to stones, but the anxiety was too much for me. If you are feeling worried, maybe just stick to normal water to be safe.

I drink sugar-free drinks occasionally and haven't had any issues so far! But drinking lots of water is the ultimate trick to keep your kidneys happy. Stay hydrated and don't worry too much!

I used to chug pre-workouts and diet sodas loaded with aspartame during my shredding phase. Didn't get kidney stones, but my stomach got quite bloated. Switched to normal water and felt much better, so just keep it minimal.

Haan, chemical items can irritate the body if taken in large quantities, na. There's no direct link to stones, but why take a chance? Limit the sugar-free tea and soda, and drink normal matka water instead.

Haan na, even I was thinking about this because my husband drinks those diet colas every day. It's better to avoid too many artificial things anyway. Gharchya ghari limbu sarbat is always best for kidneys.

Our bodies are beautiful gifts, and simple, natural food keeps them in harmony. Avoid artificial sweeteners if they make you feel uneasy. Stay positive, drink pure water, and trust that your body knows how to heal itself.
