Can arthritis cause numbness?

Mere haath aur pairon ki ungliyon mein arthritis hai aur kabhi kabhi unmein numbness (sunnapan) feel hota hai. Kya yeh arthritis ka hi ek symptom ho sakta hai, ya mujhe aur kuch check karwana chahiye?

I am quite new to managing my arthritis, and lately, I've been feeling a strange numbness in my fingertips. Is this normal with joint inflammation, or does it mean the condition is getting worse? I am a bit worried.

Dekho, numbness means a nerve is getting compressed somewhere because of the arthritic swelling. Don't sit around waiting for it to go away on its own. Go see your orthopedist and get it checked before it causes more trouble.

Yes, when joint swelling presses on nearby nerves, it can cause numbness in your hands or feet. Please don't worry, but do mention this to your doctor during your next visit.

I know exactly how terrifying it feels when you suddenly lose sensation in your hand or foot; it used to make me panic so much. But rest assured, it is often just temporary nerve irritation from arthritis swelling. Please consult your doctor to ease your mind and get the right treatment.

Numbness is typically a sign of nerve compression, which can happen when arthritic joints or bone spurs impinge on a nerve. While lifestyle adjustments help, getting a proper diagnosis from your doctor is crucial to prevent nerve damage.
