Can apple cider vinegar remove dandruff?

My scalp has been very flaky and itchy with dandruff lately, and I'm looking for a natural solution. My cousin said apple cider vinegar works wonders. Is it true that apple cider vinegar can effectively remove dandruff?

Diluted ACV might help, but you will end up smelling like a walking Chinese food stall for a day! Jokes aside, it does help some people with itchy scalps. Just make sure to dilute it heavily, unless you want your head to feel like it is on fire.

Hey, don't stress too much about the dandruff, it is super common and totally treatable! I used to dilute ACV with water in a mug (like 1 part ACV, 3 parts water) and rinse my hair after shampooing. It helped me a bit, but honestly, a basic ketoconazole shampoo works much faster if you want quick results!

I have seen this question quite often on the forum. Yes, the acidity in ACV can help balance scalp pH and reduce fungal growth, but you must never apply it directly. Mix a spoonful in a cup of water, massage gently, and rinse it off within 5 minutes. If your scalp is sensitive or has cuts, avoid it completely.

Don't worry, dandruff is annoying but we can manage it easily. ACV can sometimes help because of its acidity, but if your scalp is already irritated, it will sting badly. Try a gentle anti-dandruff shampoo first, and if you really want to try ACV, patch test a highly diluted drop behind your ear first.

I completely understand how embarrassing dandruff can be, I used to hate wearing black tops because of the constant flakes on my shoulders. I tried ACV and it did give some temporary relief, but what really saved my confidence was seeing a dermatologist who gave me a proper medicated lotion. Please don't lose heart, you will find what works for you.

I was actually just reading up on this today because my hair is full of flakes! Some blogs say the antibacterial properties of ACV clear dandruff, but others say it just dries out the scalp more. I am a bit hesitant to try it, let me know if it actually worked for anyone here.

At my age, half my hair is gone anyway, but the dandruff remains loyal! I tried the vinegar trick once and my wife asked why the bathroom smelled like pickle. Honestly, it is too much effort; just buy a decent anti-dandruff shampoo from the local chemist and save your energy.
