Can appendicitis pain come and go for months?

I've had this dull ache in my lower abdomen for a few months now, sometimes it's worse, sometimes it almost disappears. My doctor is trying to figure out what it is. Can appendicitis pain come and go for months like this?

Yes, chronic appendicitis is a real thing where mild pain can keep coming and going! 😊 It is super tricky to diagnose, so definitely go see a surgeon for a proper opinion.

Actually yaar, chronic appendicitis me pain months tak ho sakta hai aur phir achanak se severe ho jata hai. Don't take it lightly thinking ki thik ho gaya, get an ultrasound done soon.

I tried warm water bags, ajwain, and avoiding heavy foods for months thinking it was just gas. But the pain kept coming back until we finally went to the doctor and found out it was chronic appendix. Please don't delay the checkup.

Yes, recurrent or chronic appendicitis can cause low-grade pain that flares up and settles down. However, it can rupture unexpectedly, which is dangerous. Please schedule an appointment with a general surgeon to get it evaluated.

If you are having pain on and off, it is better to get a basic ultrasound done at a local government lab where it is cheaper, rather than waiting for an emergency. Emergency surgeries at private hospitals can be very expensive, so early planning is best.

I lived with this nagging pain for three months and everyone told me I was overreacting or just stressed. It was so mentally draining. Please trust your body, if you feel something is wrong, keep pushing for a proper diagnosis.
