Yes, stress can make your body feel very tight and achy all over. Please don't worry too much, just try to rest and keep yourself warm. I hope you feel better soon.
When my joints ache from stress, I apply warm sesame oil and take a hot bath, which really helps. But if your joints are swollen or the pain is very severe, please don't just rely on home remedies. You should definitely see a doctor to rule out things like arthritis.
My daughter went through this during her board exams, her knees and wrists would ache constantly. We realized her body was just tensing up due to stress. We got her to do some light stretching and made sure she slept on time, but we also did a blood test just to be sure she wasn't deficient in Vitamin D.
Oh my god, yes! I have been having this dull ache in my elbows and knees lately whenever I feel stressed out. Does anyone else get this too? I keep worrying it is something major and it just makes my anxiety worse.

Anxiety disrupts the flow of prana and causes stiffness in our joints. I had terrible joint stiffness until I started doing daily gentle Sukshma Vyayama (joint movements) and Nadi Shodhana pranayama. It calms the nervous system and releases the physical tension beautifully.
