Can anxiety cause high fever?

Whenever I'm under extreme pressure or highly anxious, I sometimes feel really unwell, and my temperature rises quite high. Is it possible for anxiety to actually cause a high fever?

Honestly, acute stress can make you feel warm, but a proper high fever usually means an infection. Better to take a quick paracetamol and see if it drops. If you have meetings or busy days, don't ignore it—just get a quick blood test done.

My smartwatch shows my skin temp goes up slightly when I am highly stressed, but actual high fever is different. Check your actual temperature with a thermometer. If it is over 101, it is probably viral and not just anxiety.

Whenever I get hyper about work, my head feels hot. But real fever needs rest. Just lie down, put a cold damp cloth on your forehead, and drink plenty of water. If the temperature doesn't go away by tomorrow, please visit the local clinic.

I actually asked my physician about this because my body temperature rises during panic attacks. He told me psychogenic fever is a thing but it usually causes a low-grade rise, not a very high fever. A high fever is almost always your immune system fighting some bug, so please get it checked.

Beta, when the mind is very upset, the body gets warm, yes. But a very high fever needs attention. Take light ginger tea or warm water to soothe your nerves, but do not ignore a high temperature. Go to a doctor if it is high.

Ghabrahat me sharir garam ho jata hai, par tez bukhar hona thik nahi. Aap thoda aaram kariye aur dukan se dawai lene ke badle doctor babu ko dikha lijiye. Mann shant rakhiyega, sab thik hoga.

My mother always tells me to drink warm jeera water when I feel hot and anxious. But high fever is not something we should handle with just home remedies. It is always safer to visit a doctor and take proper advice, na?

I used to think my fever was just exam stress and tried drinking tulsi tea and taking cold showers. But honestly, anxiety only makes you feel flushed; a real high fever is usually an infection. Please don't rely only on home tips, go get a checkup.

A high fever should never be ignored or blamed solely on stress. It could be dengue, typhoid, or a viral infection. Please go to a clinic immediately and get your blood tested. Safety first always.
