Can anxiety cause a heart attack?

I've been dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety recently, and sometimes I get chest pain and palpitations. My biggest fear is that my anxiety could eventually lead to a heart attack. Is this a real possibility, doc?

Honestly, don't rely on random internet forums or home remedies for something as serious as heart health. While anxiety mimics a lot of heart symptoms like chest tightness, only a qualified doctor can run tests like an ECG to give you the real picture. Please go get it verified professionally first.

I used to ignore my racing chest feeling thinking it was just stress, but it actually turned out to be an underlying issue that needed proper medical management. Anxiety makes your heart beat crazy fast, but please don't take any chances. Get a proper cardiac checkup done to rule out any actual complications.

Listen, take a deep breath. Anxiety can make your chest feel incredibly tight and heavy, which easily scares anyone into thinking it's something worse. But just try to relax, drink some warm water, and see a doctor to get your peace of mind back. I'm here if you need to talk, okay?

I can only share what happened to me, but during my worst panic attacks, my chest would pain so badly I was convinced it was a heart attack. After running to the ER twice, the doctors told me my heart was completely fine and it was pure anxiety. It's a very scary feeling, but that was just my experience.

As someone managing diabetes, I know how physical stress and anxiety can mess with your heart rate and sugar levels. High stress really spikes everything, which isn't good for your cardiovascular system in the long run. Keep an eye on your diet, limit your salt, and definitely consult your physician for a routine screening.

Anxiety definitely shoots up your cortisol and heart rate, which mimics those heavy chest feelings. I've seen guys at my gym get paranoid about this, but regular cardio and a clean diet really help stabilize your resting heart rate. Still, if you're feeling sharp pain or breathlessness, keep the gym aside and see a doctor first.

Let's be real, severe anxiety feels exactly like a medical emergency, but it doesn't directly cause an instant heart attack out of nowhere. However, chronic stress isn't doing your body any favors. Go get a basic health checkup done at a good clinic so you can stop overthinking this.
