Can anger cause vomiting?

Sometimes when I get really, really angry or stressed, I feel so nauseous that I actually throw up. Is it possible for such strong emotions, like anger, to physically cause vomiting?

Hey, don't stress too much about this. Yes, intense anger can actually upset your stomach and cause vomiting because of all the stress hormones. Just sit down, drink some cold water, and take a few deep breaths, okay?

I used to panic so much when my stomach would completely twist and make me throw up during big arguments. But my doctor reassured me that the gut-brain connection is very strong and this reaction is quite common. Just try to step away when you feel the anger rising.

I am new here and a bit shy to ask, but does this mean anger can cause permanent stomach issues too? I felt very sick after getting into an argument yesterday and I am still feeling a bit weak.

Honestly, I barely get four hours of sleep, so my body is already angry. Throwing up after a fight is just the cherry on top. Just go to bed and sleep it off, it's the only way to reset the system.

Please be careful with this. I ignored my anger-induced vomiting thinking it was just stress, but it actually led to severe gastritis and dehydration that required hospitalization. If this happens frequently, please go consult a doctor.

Haan beta, gusse se pet mein bohot garmi badh jati hai aur ulti ho sakti hai. Jab bhi aisa lage, ek chammach saunf chaba lo ya thode se pudine ke patte chaba lo, isse pet shant ho jayega. Apne gusse par kabu rakhein, sehat sabse badi cheez hai.

I literally went through this last week after a massive fight at work and threw up twice. My doctor explained that the 'fight or flight' response shuts down digestion, triggering nausea. I started relaxing and my stomach settled down completely.

Your stomach is basically like, 'If you're going to scream, I'm going to launch a strike!' It's just a dramatic reaction to anger. Chill out, get some fresh air, and maybe don't watch the news before dinner.

Oh no, I totally understand how scary that is, I always overthink my symptoms and worry if it's something dangerous like an ulcer. But anxiety and anger release so much acid that vomiting is a very typical response. Please try to rest and don't worry too much!

Dekho, gussa karne se acidity aur vomiting hona bohot aam baat hai. Apni tabiyat kharab karne se kisi aur ka kuch nahi bigadega. Agli baar jab gussa aaye toh chupchap wahan se hat jao aur thoda thanda paani piyo.

When we get angry, the solar plexus chakra gets highly disturbed, which directly impacts our digestive system and causes vomiting. Practicing Sheetali pranayama and gentle deep abdominal breathing has personally helped me cool down both my mind and stomach.

As if high BP wasn't enough, now anger is making us throw up too! Yes, the body has funny ways of telling us to calm down. Better to laugh it off and ignore the people who make you mad, saving your stomach some trouble.
