Can anemia cause migraine headaches?

Chronic migraines have been bothering me for ages, and recently I got diagnosed with mild iron deficiency anemia. My headaches seem to be worse when I feel more tired and pale. Could there be a connection between my anemia and these debilitating migraine attacks?

Yes, anemia is quite commonly linked with frequent headaches and migraine attacks. I hope you feel better soon. Please try to get your hemoglobin checked and rest in a dark room when the pain gets bad.

Yes, it absolutely can. Less iron means less oxygen going to your brain, which directly triggers nasty headaches and migraines. Stop self-diagnosing on internet forums and get a proper CBC and iron profile test done this weekend.

Oh, tell me about it! When my hemoglobin was low, the migraine was so bad I couldn't even enjoy my favorite biryani. I started taking iron-rich foods like pomegranate and dates, and it really helped cut down those terrible headaches. Definitely get checked!

Putra, in my younger days, I used to get severe headaches and thought it was just sinus or migraine. Later, a simple blood test showed my iron was extremely low, and once I took proper care of my diet, the headaches reduced massively. Take care of your health first.

Dekho, aadhi bimari toh dimaag mein hoti hai aur baaki low hemoglobin se. Anemia se dimaag ko oxygen kam milti hai toh migraine toh hoga hi na. Bina late kiye doctor ko dikhao aur iron badhao, chai-coffee thoda kam karo bas.
