Can an endoscopy detect stomach cancer?

My mother had stomach cancer, so I'm very cautious about my own digestive health. I have occasional acidity, and my doctor suggested an endoscopy. Will this procedure be able to detect if there are any signs of stomach cancer?

Yes, an endoscopy is a very reliable way to see what is happening inside. Keep your mind calm and have faith during the process. Getting tested early is a blessing that helps doctors protect your health.

Yes, it can. It allows doctors to see the stomach lining clearly and take tiny tissue samples if needed.

Yes, it is the standard test for this. If you are worried about the cost, many government hospitals and local diagnostic centres do it at very reasonable rates. Just get it done quickly so you have peace of mind.

While simple stomach aches can be managed with ajwain or ginger tea, severe symptoms shouldn't be ignored. An endoscopy is indeed the best medical test to check for serious issues like cancer. Please consult a specialist and get it done if they recommended it.

Yes, an upper GI endoscopy is highly effective because it directly visualises the stomach tissue. If you are having persistent gastric issues or unexplained weight loss, don't rely only on diet modifications. Get the endoscopy done as advised by your gastroenterologist.
