Can an echocardiogram detect a heart attack?

My doctor recommended an echocardiogram for my heart palpitations. I'm a bit concerned about heart issues. Will an echocardiogram reveal if I'm currently having a heart attack, or if I had one sometime in the past?

Yes, an echocardiogram can definitely show if a heart attack has happened by checking if any part of the heart muscle is damaged or not pumping correctly. It is a bit costly in big hospitals, so check around in local diagnostic centers where you can get it done at a more reasonable rate.

Yes, dear. This test is like a video of your heart. It tells the doctor if the heart is pumping nicely or if some part is tired because of a past attack. Please go to a good town clinic and get it done, do not worry at all.

Yes, it is a wonderful, non-invasive test that uses sound waves to check your heart's health and see if there is any quiet damage from a past attack. It is completely safe and painless. Keep your breathing calm and steady while getting the test done.

An echocardiogram is very important because it saved me when my doctor noticed a post-attack complication in my heart valves. Please do not delay getting this test if your doctor has advised it. Heart issues can get complicated very quickly if left unchecked.

Absolutely, an echocardiogram is one of the most reliable tests to assess the physical damage after a heart attack. It measures your ejection fraction and shows localized wall motion abnormalities. Get it done at an accredited lab and take the report straight to your cardiologist.
