Can an ear infection cause jaw pain?

My left ear is infected and it's quite painful, aur ab meri jaw bhi dard kar rahi hai on that side. It feels like the pain is spreading. Is it normal for an ear infection to cause pain in the jaw area?

Yes, it absolutely can. It's called referred pain because the temporomandibular joint is right next to your ear canal. Skip the speculation, book a quick ENT appointment and get it sorted out.

Don't buy into online claims that some herbal oil will cure both. The ear and jaw share many nerve pathways, so pain easily travels between them. Get a real ENT doctor to look inside your ear with an otoscope to confirm if it's actually an infection.

I totally get it, the radiating pain makes it almost impossible to chew or even speak comfortably. It's a really miserable feeling. Please see a doctor soon so they can give you something to ease the pressure.

Oh god, that pain is the absolute worst, but don't stress too much, okay? It's just because the nerves are so close together. Just take some rest, apply a warm compress, and let a doc check it out.

While referred pain from an ear infection is common, jaw pain can also indicate a dental abscess or TMJ issues. For your safety, it is always best to get a professional medical evaluation to rule out other complications.
