Can an allergic reaction cause vomiting?

After eating some prawn curry yesterday, I got severe itching all over and then also ended up vomiting. My family says it's just food poisoning, but I'm wondering if the vomiting was part of the allergic reaction instead. Does this happen with allergies?

Yes, food allergies can definitely make you throw up. When it happened to my son, I gave him small sips of ginger water to soothe his stomach. But remember, if the vomiting is severe or if there is any swelling on the face, rush to the doctor immediately.

With my PCOS, my stomach is already super sensitive, and I've noticed certain food sensitivities cause severe nausea and vomiting. It's really hard to pinpoint on your own, so keeping a food diary can help, but please check with a doctor to be sure.

At home, my mother usually suggests drinking warm buttermilk with curry leaves for mild stomach upset. However, vomiting from an allergy can sometimes be a sign of a severe reaction. It is much safer to visit a clinic and get it checked by a medical professional.

This literally happened to me last week after eating peanuts by mistake. I started throwing up and got hives all over. It was really scary, so I had to take an emergency anti-allergy shot at the hospital.

As someone who loves street food, getting an allergic reaction that leads to vomiting is my absolute nightmare. It usually means your stomach is completely rejecting something you ate. Time to take a break from spicy treats and see a doctor, buddy.

Our bodies have their own way of throwing out what doesn't suit them. Try to rest, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, and keep your thoughts positive. Do seek timely medical help to ease your discomfort.

Haan na, stomach allergies can really make you vomit and feel so weak. When my niece had it, we had to give her ORS to keep her energy up. Do consult a doctor quickly, don't wait.

Honestly, dealing with allergies and vomiting at 2 AM is the worst kind of sleepless night. If your stomach is doing flips, just skip the internet search and call a doctor so you can actually get some sleep.

Actually, yes yaar. A friend of mine ate seafood once and started vomiting continuously along with severe itching. Don't take it lightly, just go to a doctor and get the right medicine.

Please be very careful. Vomiting after exposure to an allergen can sometimes be part of a severe, life-threatening reaction called anaphylaxis. If you also have any breathing difficulty or dizziness, go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

When the body undergoes such a reaction, its digestive fire is completely disturbed. Once you are done vomiting, rest quietly and practice deep, gentle breathing to calm your nervous system. Make sure a doctor evaluates the cause.

Hey, don't panic. Vomiting can happen with severe food allergies, but we need to make sure you're safe. Drink tiny sips of water so you don't get dehydrated, and let's get you checked by a doctor right away.
