Can amoeba cause vomiting?

My child had stomach problems recently, and the doctor said it could be an amoebic infection. She also vomited once. Can amoeba infections really cause vomiting?

My family physician explained that amoebiasis causes severe inflammation in your gut lining, which easily triggers nausea and vomiting along with cramps. He told me that drinking contaminated water is the most common cause. You will likely need specific anti-protozoal meds, as regular antacids won't clear the parasite.

Yes, it definitely can. I had an amoebic infection last year because of some bad street food, and I was throwing up constantly, which made me miss three days of office. Don't waste time trying too many things at home; get a stool test done quickly so you can get the right prescription.

It absolutely can. When my husband had these symptoms, we went straight to Apollo Hospital, and the gastroenterologist there did a proper checkup. Please don't guess or treat this casually at home. Go to a good clinic, get tested, and ask your doctor clearly about the dosage for your recovery.

Hey, take a deep breath. Yes, amoebic infections are notorious for causing vomiting and stomach pain, but it is highly treatable. For now, keep sipping on ORS or coconut water so you don't get dehydrated. I'll strongly suggest showing a general physician today so you can start recovery soon.

Haan na, it definitely causes terrible vomiting and loose motions too. Mere bhai ko hua tha summer mein, he was feeling so weak. You should drink thoda nimbu paani or electoral, and go to the clinic. Take care, okay? It gets cured very easily with proper medicine.

Oh god, yes it can, and it's so scary when you can't keep any food down. Every time I get a stomach upset, I start panicking about dehydration and liver issues. Please keep track of how many times you are vomiting and go to a doctor if it doesn't stop, just to be safe. Sending you good vibes!

Please be very careful with this. I ignored my vomiting and stomach cramps thinking it was simple food poisoning, but the amoeba infection got so severe that I had to be hospitalized for IV fluids. Please don't wait till you get dehydrated or weak, see a doctor immediately.

Oh man, stomach bugs are the absolute worst! Yes, amoeba can totally make you barf, but don't stress too much, okay? Just stick to very light khichdi, drink plenty of fluids, and visit your local doc to get the right antibiotics or anti-parasitic pills. You'll be back on your feet in no time!
