Can allergies cause vomiting?

After eating something I thought I might be allergic to, I experienced not just hives but also vomiting. Can an allergic reaction be severe enough to cause vomiting?

Honestly I keep searching this up because every small thing makes me panic. If it's a severe food allergy, then yes, it can absolutely cause sudden vomiting. But please check if there are other signs like swelling or breathing issues, that is very risky. Don't worry too much but do keep an eye on how u feel.

In our family, we usually try some ginger water if the stomach feels bad, but for severe allergies, that won't help much. My doctor uncle always says that some food allergies can trigger immediate vomiting as the body tries to throw it out. Please consult a proper specialist to get an allergy test done if this is happening often.

Actually yaar, it depends on what allergy you are talking about. If it is some dusty weather, then usually no, just sneezing happens. But if you ate something wrong and your body is rejecting it, then vomiting is totally possible. Better check with a doctor to see what is triggering this.

Sometimes when the body's internal system is highly sensitive, even severe mucus from sinus allergies dripping down can irritate the stomach and cause mild nausea or vomiting. I have felt this during heavy pollen season. Practicing daily pranayama helps build overall immunity, but please rest well and eat very light home-cooked food right now.

Look, vomiting is not a very common symptom for simple seasonal allergies, but it is definitely a major symptom of food allergies. Don't take any chances with this at home. Get it checked by a doc immediately so you know exactly what is causing it and stay safe.
