Can airborne cause kidney stones?

My husband has been taking Airborne supplements for a while now to boost his immunity. He recently had a kidney stone issue, and I'm wondering if there's any connection. Can taking supplements like Airborne cause kidney stones?

I used to take effervescent vitamin C supplements like Airborne almost daily thinking it keeps me safe from colds, and ended up with a painful calcium oxalate kidney stone. Too much vitamin C converts into oxalate in the body, which is a major cause of stones. Cut down on these high-dose supplements and drink at least 3 liters of water daily, that is the best natural remedy.

My teenager started taking these fizzy immunity tablets every day during exam season, and the doctor strictly told us to stop them. He said overloading a young body with massive doses of synthetic vitamins can burden the kidneys and lead to crystal formation. Please monitor what your kids take and stick to natural fruits for vitamin C.

It can be really scary to think a simple supplement could cause issues like kidney stones. Try to drink plenty of water to help flush your system out and keep things balanced. Hope you feel healthy and well.

Actually, taking high-dose vitamin C supplements regularly can increase the amount of oxalate in your urine, raising the risk of kidney stones. It is perfectly fine to take it once in a while when you have a cold, but making it a daily habit is not recommended. If you want immunity, sticking to freshly squeezed lemon water is much safer for your kidneys.

I had severe back pain which I ignored, thinking it was just muscle strain from exercise, but it turned out to be a 6mm kidney stone blocking my ureter. I was taking random multivitamin drinks regularly before that. Please don't self-medicate with high-dose supplements, and if you have sharp lower back or side pain, see a urologist right away.

Bro, I was popping those immunity tablets like candy during winters and ended up with terrible stomach aches. My doctor told me to stop immediately because excessive vitamin C gets filtered by the kidneys as oxalate, which basically creates stones. Just drink fresh orange juice and leave these artificial tablets alone.

Yes, high-dose vitamin C supplements can definitely increase the risk of oxalate kidney stones if taken too often. It's much safer to get your vitamins from natural food instead.

Hey, don't stress too much! If you only take them once in a blue moon when you feel a cold coming, you should be completely fine. Just make sure you are chugging plenty of water to flush everything out of your system, okay? Take care!
